SJM seeks action against overcharging hospitals

WITH THE country’s drug pricing watchdog finding private hospitals in Delhi and NCR making up to 1700 per cent profit on drugs and diagnostics, the economic wing of the RSS on Thursday sought action against the fleecing hospitals for overcharging and exploitation of patients.

Don't use foreign cos for health protection scheme: Swadeshi Jagran Manch to govt

The RSS-affiliated Swadeshi Jagran Manch has cautioned the government against engaging foreign insurance companies for providing health cover to the poor under a flagship programme announced in the Union budget.

SJM co-convenor Ashwani Mahajan said it was heartening to note that the government had announced a health protection scheme, which will reach out to 50 crore people by offering up to Rs 5 lakh cover for illnesses.

Safeguard India's interests at WTO: RSS affiliate's advice to Suresh

NEW DELHI: The Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM) wrote to Commerce minister Suresh Prabhu requesting him to safeguard India's interests in the fields of agriculture, investment and e-commerce as the country's representative at the Mini-Ministerial on the World Trade Organization in Marrakesh, Morocco.

Underscoring the fact that decisions made at the Mini-Ministerial will keenly affect our socio-economic policies, the SJM advised Prabhu to establish India as an important and strong developing country voice.

SJM wants fresh cooked food to fight malnutrition in kids

New Delhi, Aug 23 (PTI) Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (SJM), an economic wing of the RSS, today urged the Centre to frame a "clear policy" to promote use of fresh cooked food instead of ready-to-use eatables by states to treat malnutrition among children.

SJM All India co-convener Ashwani Mahajan told PTI that there is a policy of the central government, which focuses on fresh cooked food, among other measures, to tackle malnutrition but some of the state governments are not implementing it.

Anti-dumping duty on 93 products from China: Nirmala Sitharaman

The government today said anti-dumping duty is in force on 93 products including chemicals and machinery items imported from China. The other Chinese products on which India has imposed this duty include steel and other metals, fibres and yarn, rubber or plastic, electric and electronics and consumer goods.

“Anti-dumping duty is in force on 93 products concerning imports from China,” Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, said in a written reply to Rajya Sabha.

JAMMU, July 18: The 10 -month long Swadeshi Jagran Manch (SJM) nation wide campaign against use of Chinese goods will culminate with a grand rally on October 29 at Ram Leela Ground New Delhi.

China investments a worry: SJM



The Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (SJM), an affiliate of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS), has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi cautioning him against awarding government contracts to two Chinese companies and against commerce with that country in the wake of enhanced hostilities.

Convenor of the SJM, Dr Ashwini Mahajan in his letter to the Prime Minister said there were two recent announcements that were particularly “worrisome.”
