Peer Review Policy

Swadeshi Monograph employs a double-blind peer review process. This means:

• The identities of the authors are concealed from the reviewers.
• The identities of the reviewers are concealed from the authors.
• This ensures objective and unbiased evaluation of manuscripts based solely on content quality.

Authors should remove all identifying information from the manuscript file before submission, including names, affiliations, and self-citations that could reveal identity.

The peer review process follows these stages:

1. Editorial Screening: The Editor-in-Chief conducts an initial assessment for scope, quality, and formatting compliance. Unsuitable manuscripts are desk-rejected within 7 days.
2. Reviewer Assignment: Manuscripts that pass initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise.
3. Review Period: Reviewers are given 3–4 weeks to evaluate the manuscript and submit their reports.
4. Decision: Based on reviewer recommendations, the editor makes one of four decisions: Accept, Minor Revisions, Major Revisions, or Reject.
5. Revision: Authors are given 2–4 weeks to address reviewer comments and resubmit with a detailed response letter.
6. Final Decision: The editor makes the final accept/reject decision after reviewing the revised manuscript.

Reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

• Originality: Does the paper present new findings or perspectives?
• Methodology: Is the research methodology sound and clearly described?
• Significance: Does the work contribute meaningfully to the field?
• Clarity: Is the paper well-written, organized, and easy to follow?
• References: Are citations adequate, current, and relevant?
• Ethics: Are there any ethical concerns with the research?

Reviewers should provide constructive, specific feedback. Personal criticism of the authors is not acceptable. If a reviewer suspects misconduct (plagiarism, data fabrication), they should confidentially inform the editor.

All manuscripts received for review are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not:

• Share the manuscript or its contents with anyone without editor permission.
• Use information from the manuscript for personal advantage.
• Retain copies of the manuscript after completing the review.
